Natural protective benefits
PNP Pigeon Pellets are optimally formulated using the best available local ingredients to promote and maintain your bird’s immune system ensuring that it is in peak condition for its next race. These pellets are designed to be used as a supplement to your current feeding regime and will ensure that all your bird’s essential vitamin and mineral requirements are met.
Prebiotics
These refer to a group of natural sugars that are resistant to digestion by the pigeon but can exclusively be utilised by specific health promoting bacteria in its digestive system. Thus promoting a good natural balance of gut biota.
Mycotoxin binder
These act in a “magnet” like way in the intestine of the pigeon absorbing deleterious substances such as mould and fungi borne toxins like “aflatoxins”. These bad toxins often enter the intestine via poor quality and stored grain mixes and suppress immunity causing disease conditions. The binder “binds” these toxins and removes them via the feces of the pigeon.
Organic acids
These acids are used to improve the size of villi in the gastro intestinal tract of the pigeon as well as reducing salmonella and e-coli bacteria within the gut that would otherwise compete with the bird’s normal gut biota.
Good manufacturing process
PNP Pellets are manufactured at Specialised Aquatic Feeds using high pressure extrusion that results in a sterile, cooked product with greater digestibility than standard grains and cold pressed pellets. This unique process fuses proteins, vitamins and minerals (all ingredients) into a totally homogenous product.
This improves nutrient uptake in the digestive tract. The cooking of the carbohydrate component causes the starch granules to swell, rupture and gelatinise so that, after cooling, the pellets have improved digestibility. The pigeon therefore has no loss of energy when digesting these pellets.
